The Brisbane News featured a story today about a Google Virtual Tour currently being created for the Dreamworld Theme Park at Coomera.
This is the first virtual tour of it’s type for any theme park in Queensland. It is being photographed using Google’s “Trekker” backpack which ways 18Kg and takes 15 photos every 3 seconds – enabling virtual tours to be created for large areas which are not accessible to Google’s Street View cars.
It will still be months before the Dreamworld Virtual tour is processed (photos need to be stitched and faces need to be blurred), but the Virtual Tour is expected to be available later this year.
