At it’s most basic, a Panorama can be considered to be any photograph containing a “wide” view, however it more accurately refers to a photograph that is made up of a number of other photos that have been “stitched” (joined) together to create a much wider view than would normally be possible with a single photograph.
Panoramic photography (aka wide format photography) is a photographic technique using specialised equipment or software, that captures images withextended fields of view.
A Panosphere (pano for short) is a photograph that captures a full 360° around a specific location.
Google offers various ways for photographers to add a single panosphere to their Google Maps or Street View product.
Sophisticated software can be used to connect a constellation of panospheres into a Virtual Tour
